Red plum, sweet red pepper, boysenberry strudel and dried oregano leap from the glass. Though present, the tannins are powdered and refined redolent of terracotta garden pots and freshly turned soil. The fresh acidity lifts expressive elements of black cherry, white cranberry and hibiscus tea leaf. The finish emerges with a pleasant earthiness shaded by crushed gravel, tomato coulis and Baker’s chocolate.
